Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Innovations Manager to lead our team in the development of beauty devices and accessories. This is a critical role that requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully developing and launching new products, with a deep understanding of hardware NPD, DFM/DFX, and vendor management. They will be responsible for defining problem statements, user requirements, and success metrics, aligning with the brand, supply chain, and finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Roadmap & PRDs: Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for beauty device innovation, including defining problem statements, user requirements, and success metrics, and aligning with brand, supply chain, and finance goals.
  2. NPD & DFM/DFX: Lead the development and launch of new beauty devices and accessories, driving concept evaluation, EVT/DVT/PVT, tooling, tolerances, materials, reliability testing (drop/thermal/aging).
  3. Tech Decisions: Evaluate and select motor, heat, airflow modules, power electronics, and safety components, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Vendor & Sourcing: Identify, qualify, and manage OEM/ODM/component suppliers, negotiating MOQs, building should-cost models, and ensuring timely delivery.
  5. Quality & Compliance: Plan and execute test protocols and documentation for BIS/CRS, IEC 60335 series, RoHS/REACH, EPR (e-waste), WPC (RF), UN38.3/IEC 62133 (if batteries).
  6. Industrial Design & UX: Collaborate with industrial designers to ensure ergonomics, acoustic comfort, thermals, and serviceability of beauty devices, as well as packaging fit/spec.
  7. Go-to-Market Readiness: Pilot builds, line setup, SOPs, spares/after-sales, user manuals, and risk registers for successful product launches.
  8. Data & Iteration: Track field performance, NPS/reviews, failure modes, and drive rapid revs and cost/quality improvements.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  1. 6–10 years in hardware NPD for small appliances/consumer electronics/beauty devices.
  2. Proven DFM/DFX, basic EE/ME literacy (PCBA, plastics, metals, silicone), tooling, and reliability testing.
  3. Strong vendor management in India/China/Korea; hands-on with RFQs, BOMs, PPAP/FAT.
  4. Familiar with Indian and global compliance pathways for consumer devices.
  5. Tools: CAD (SolidWorks/Creo), basic FEA/CFD interpretation, Jira/PLM, Excel for should-costs.
  6. Execution bias; can run parallel tracks and hit dates.

Prior experience with shipping beauty devices and a portfolio of shipped devices are required. A case study on cost-down or certification strategy is also requested.
