Electrification Engineer Role

The role of Electrification Engineer is a critical position within the company, focusing on the design and development of inverter systems and sub-assemblies. As an Electrification Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design of inverter assemblies and components from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for inverter assemblies and components, ensuring compliance with high-voltage safety standards.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
  • Conduct creepage and clearance analysis, as well as tolerance stack-up analysis, to validate design robustness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, thermal, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Support design reviews, DFMEAs, and validation planning to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and timing targets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical design of inverter systems or similar high-voltage power electronics is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, creepage and clearance, and tolerance analysis is required.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software and experience working with complex mechanical systems are necessary.
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for assembly is crucial.
