Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and data archiving solution architect to design, implement, and support ILM strategies across complex SAP landscapes.

This role demands deep technical expertise in SAP Data Volume Management (DVM), hands-on experience with ILM components, and a strong understanding of compliance, retention, and system decommissioning practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement ILM Strategies
  • Execute system decommissioning projects ensuring compliance with data retention and audit requirements.
  • Analyze the impact of archiving on business processes and system performance.
  • Implement both standard and custom archive objects including purging and hybrid DVM solutions.
  • Manage archive metadata and ADK file handling ensuring integrity and accessibility.
  • Conduct system assessments to identify DVM opportunities and define archiving strategies.
  • Troubleshoot archiving issues and provide solutions for open item closures.
  • Integrate Nearline Storage (SAP IQ) with archive servers and SAP systems.
  • Utilize PBS tools for enhanced archiving capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SAP RISE Clean Core methodology
  • Experience integrating SAP with external content and archive servers.
  • Hands-on experience with document archiving scenarios and content server migrations.
