Job Title: Storage Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a skilled storage engineer to implement and manage enterprise-grade storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in storage technologies, with hands-on experience in installation, configuration, monitoring, and management of large storage devices and tape libraries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, implement, and configure storage technologies for optimal performance.
  • Monitor and report on the health and performance of storage devices and systems.
  • Administer and troubleshoot storage environments, including SAN and NAS configurations.
  • Develop and maintain backup and restore procedures, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Utilize monitoring and reporting tools to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and OEMs to resolve technical issues and improve system reliability.
  • Work across multiple platforms, including Windows, Linux, HP-UX, AIX, Oracle-Linux, and Solaris.
  • Apply scripting knowledge for automation and optimization tasks.
  • Provide support for storage platforms from leading manufacturers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in storage technologies.
  • Strong understanding of storage concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in SAN/NAS environments and enterprise storage management.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for system administration.
  • Basic understanding of multiple operating systems.
  • Good communication and coordination skills for handling multiple stakeholders.
