Linux System Administrator Job

We are looking for a highly skilled Linux system administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux administration, with a strong focus on ensuring performance specifications are met and OS vulnerabilities are evaluated and corrected.

Key Responsibilities
  • LVM concept - FS creation, extension, and troubleshooting is crucial for maintaining data integrity and availability. We require someone who can manage LVM effectively.
  • Multipath concept – Validating multipath, adding Luns and enabling multipath is necessary for optimal storage utilization. The successful candidate must be able to implement multipath correctly.
  • Effective coordination with different vendors is required in case of any Hardware and OS level issues. We need someone who can communicate effectively with vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Log rotation and managing FS usage, Changing permission/ ownership etc., are essential tasks that require attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Implementing changes as per application team and DB team requirement at OS level requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Following Do's and Don't as per SLA. Wirpo and Customer Process adherence while handling BAU requires a high degree of professionalism and accountability.
  • Service management (NTP, SSH, AUTOFS etc) is critical for maintaining system uptime and reliability.
  • Fixin server access and bootable issues (including fixing grub) demands a solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
  • OS level trouble shooting in bringing up the server requires a combination of technical knowledge and hands-on experience.
  • OS migration is an added advantage, but not a necessity. However, we encourage candidates with migration experience to apply.
