Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

This is a senior-level maintenance role responsible for overseeing all electrical maintenance activities in the plant. The supervisor will direct, coordinate, and supervise a team of technicians to ensure efficient and safe maintenance practices.

  • Maintenance Coordination:
  • Develops and implements detailed maintenance procedures and best practices to ensure safe and effective maintenance activities.
  • Ensures timely preventive and predictive maintenance implementation to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Monitors and maintains records of equipment performance and maintenance costs to identify areas for improvement.

Management of Consumables:

  • Evaluates material requirements and optimizes consumables consumption to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Ensures that materials delivered meet standards and are available when needed to avoid stockouts.

5S & Safety:

  • Ensures daily 5S activities on the shop floor to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and promotes a safe workplace culture to prevent accidents and injuries.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drives continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyzes data using QC tools and suggests changes to improve processes and reduce costs.

People Management:

  • Completes regular departmental performance reviews to evaluate individual and team performance.
  • Assesses individual skill levels and develops training plans to improve employee competencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 15-20 years of experience in Cold Rolling Mill Electrical Maintenance.
