Senior Solar Power Plant Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Design Lead to spearhead our Solar Power Plant design team. As a key member, you will be responsible for reviewing and executing engineering activities related to Civil/Structural Engineering.

The successful candidate will oversee the timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents, ensuring they align with project schedules. Key responsibilities include:

• Timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents
• Ensuring deliveries are aligned to project schedule
• Reviewing drawings by design engineers and checking design & sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from clients
• Reviewing vendor deliverables pertaining to engineering
• Estimating and planning man-hour requirements
• Reviewing bill of quantities (BOQ) and submitting to contracts teams providing technical clarifications
• Coordinating with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks
• Providing support and clarifications to site execution teams
• Inspecting equipment from finalized vendors after submission of validation documents
• Clarifying issues regarding design and client requirements to site execution teams
• Collecting inputs for project details (soil reports, boundary coordinates, topographical surveys, etc.) from clients and section heads
• Coordinating with operations teams and informing design specifications for obtaining approval
• Collecting inputs for project details (general arrangement drawings) from vendors
• Providing support to electrical DC, AC, and instrumentation teams for reviewing vendor drawings
• Submitting requirement of man-hours for undertaking and reviewing design and drawings of the project
• Design deliverables such as module mounting structure design, GA drawing, control room, inverter room civil and structural drawings and documents, solar plant civil infrastructure drawings and design

This role requires technical expertise in engineering activities covering civil and structural aspects including control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads, and drainage, outdoor steel structures, and miscellaneous works related to solar power plants.

The Design Lead shall have the ability to review vendor engineering documents with respect to civil and structural design, understand and interpret contractual technical requirements, and facilitate project teams as needed.
