Job Overview

A seasoned Engineering Manager leads multiple projects and diverse teams of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and technology upgrades.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Project Strategy and Delivery
  • Participate in product roadmap discussions and provide input in design, modeling, and architectural decisions.
  • Own and drive project estimations and operations for implementing high-quality solution delivery and technology upgrades.
Team Leadership
  • Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
  • Drive efficiency and productivity to produce high-quality output.
  • Create designs that improve the flexibility, functionality, and usability of system components.
Design and Quality Assurance
  • Define NFRs and build a system that meets NFR requirements.
  • Perform design and code reviews.
  • Oversee project logistics and resource allocation.
Technical Expertise
  • Use tools and techniques to enhance quality of code and design with focus on constant reduction of code debt.
  • Suggest the best design and implementation methodology.
Collaboration and Development
  • Collaborate with other team leaders and departments.
  • Build and develop required competence in the team.
Mentorship and Growth
  • Mentor team members and prepare them for possible future roles.
Requirements

We seek a candidate with:

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering.
  • Around 7-15 years of total experience working on delivery/development/team management.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience working with EVM, Android-related technology.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience working with frontend technologies like EMV knowledge, Android POS development experience.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in mobile technologies like Android.
  • Good understanding of commonly used databases like SQL, NoSQL.
Desirable Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Personnel and project management skills.
  • Expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes.
  • Organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in explaining complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
  • Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools.
  • Ability to create a set of qualifications for a new product.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in fintech space is an advantage.
