Backend Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled senior backend engineer to join our team as a key member of our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust cloud-native APIs, services, and infrastructure.

  • You will utilize auth0 and api gateway to authenticate and authorize http requests.
  • You will collaborate with front-end developers, data engineers, and devops engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • You will identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal speed and responsiveness of web applications.
  • You will implement and advocate for best practices in performance optimization.

The ideal candidate should have expertise with aws backend technologies, patterns, and practices, including route 53, cloudfront, lambda, ec2, rds, dynamodb, s3, and iam.

The ideal candidate should be fluent in high-level languages, primary as javascript and secondary as python.

The ideal candidate should have familiarity with infrastructure as code using cdk or terraform.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in creating restful backend services.

The ideal candidate should have expertise with agile sdlc practices.

The ideal candidate should have passion for writing high-quality code.

The ideal candidate should have ability to refactor and leave code in a better state than when found.
