About the Role

As a key member of the India Security and Loss Prevention (INSLP) team, you will play a critical role in securing the transportation network of Amazon operations. This position is part of the Secure Surface Transportation Program (SSTP), which aims to optimize resources and leverage technology to mitigate product loss and maintain customer satisfaction.

Job Description

The SLP Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring transportation systems in real-time using advanced surveillance technology, GPS tracking, and communication systems;
  • Coordinating with security personnel and law enforcement agencies as needed, implementing and maintaining security protocols and emergency response procedures;
  • Maintaining constant communication with drivers, operators, and field personnel, relaying important information such as route changes, weather conditions, or security alerts;
  • Responding to incidents, accidents, or emergencies, coordinating emergency services and support teams as required, and implementing contingency plans to minimize disruptions to service;
  • Analyzing data on transportation performance, security incidents, and system efficiency, preparing regular reports on key performance indicators and security metrics, and identifying trends and making recommendations for system improvements;
  • Ensuring all operations comply with relevant transportation and security regulations of Amazon, staying updated on changes in laws and industry standards related to secure transportation;
  • Working closely with operations and other departments to ensure seamless integration of security measures with overall transportation operations;
  • Participating in regular training sessions to stay current with the latest security protocols and technologies, assisting in training new control room personnel, and conducting drills or simulations;
  • Conducting ongoing risk assessments of transportation routes, schedules, and operations, recommending and implementing measures to mitigate identified risks;
  • Taking a leadership role in managing crises or major incidents affecting the transportation system, implementing crisis communication protocols, and coordinating with public relations teams as needed.Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A graduation degree or equivalent;
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in loss prevention or security or logistics and investigation;
    • Familiarity with e-commerce operations, security systems, and loss prevention techniques;
    • Strong observational and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities (both verbal and written), proficiency in using security equipment and software, ability to work in a team and independently, and basic knowledge of Microsoft office with advanced excel skills;
    • Customer service orientation and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Preferred Qualifications

      Prior experience in managing or coordinating security investigations of complex nature, knowledge of information security processes and systems, experience in security auditing, exposure to MNC culture and dynamics, and security & loss prevention certifications would be preferred.

      Compensation and Benefits

      This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on location and experience. Additionally, you will have access to comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
