Personal Care Formulation Scientist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Personal Care Formulation Scientist to join our team.

As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing, formulating, and optimizing natural personal care products such as skincare, haircare, and body care items with a focus on creating products with a more food-like feel and texture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or a related field, experience in formulating natural or Ayurvedic products, and excellent problem-solving skills. They will also be able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and formulating new personal care products using fresh ingredients and minimal processing.
  • Conducting stability testing, compatibility testing, and performance evaluations to ensure product efficacy and safety.
  • Supporting product claims substantiation and regulatory documentation.
  • Overseeing pilot plant trials and troubleshooting formulation challenges.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, cosmetic science, or Ayurveda.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in personal care research and development.
  • Experience in formulating natural or Ayurvedic products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
