As a Product Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between engineering and product teams. Your responsibility will be to deeply understand product requirements, implement end-to-end solutions, and coordinate effectively while maintaining focus on user experience and business value.
This individual contributor role requires someone who can design and implement features that handle both technical and product-centric aspects throughout the entire lifecycle. You will also own testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure robust product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bridge the gap between engineering and product requirements, deeply understanding product vision, business logic, and end-user needs.
- Design and implement end-to-end features, handling both technical and product-centric aspects throughout the entire lifecycle.
- Owntesting, validation, and quality assurance to ensure robust product delivery.
- Make architectural and technology choices aligned with product goals while ensuring best practices and code maintainability.
- Translate business/product requirements for engineering teams and collaborate with backend developers, designers, PMs, and stakeholders.
- Establish efficient team workflows and document systems/features for both engineering and product stakeholders.
- Coordinate engineering activities and ensure seamless collaboration between technical and product teams.
- Instill feedback-driven development and experimentation culture across product and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and 3+ years of software engineering experience with exposure to product management or project coordination.
Required Skills:
- Strong coding skills in both backend and frontend technologies such as Node.js, Python, React, etc.
- Experience with API development, integration, and database management.
- Product thinking with a strong mindset for user experience and business value.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Notion is also desirable.
