Senior Automation Specialist

Job Summary
This key leadership position requires a skilled Workfront Fusion expert to spearhead platform integration and automation efforts. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workfront Fusion, Workfront administration, and developing scalable automation workflows.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex integrations using Workfront Fusion, connecting Workfront with enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into effective Fusion scenarios and automation solutions.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of Workfront integrations and automations.
- Serve as a Workfront SME for all Fusion-related development, enhancements, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Develop custom solutions to automate project intake, task routing, notifications, and reporting.
- Conduct regular code reviews, performance tuning, and error handling for robust integrations.
- Maintain documentation for architecture, design decisions, integration logic, and user training.
- Provide guidance to junior developers and collaborate with project managers and business analysts to ensure delivery timelines and quality benchmarks are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Workfront Fusion development.
- Strong experience with Workfront administration, custom forms, portfolios, and project templates.
- Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and authentication methods (OAuth2, API keys).
- Experience integrating Workfront with tools like Salesforce, Jira, ServiceNow, SAP, Slack, GSuite, Outlook, MS Teams, etc.
- Understanding of workflow logic, data mapping, transformation rules, and error-handling.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workfront Core/Advanced/Fusion certifications.
- Exposure to project portfolio management (PPM) best practices.
- Experience in mentoring and leading a small team of developers.
