Solar Energy Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented solar energy specialist to lead our team in designing efficient and cost-effective solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.

You will work closely with the engineering, project management, and sales teams to deliver high-quality solar system layouts, energy production estimates, and technical documentation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design solar PV systems using software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, SketchUp, and other relevant tools.
  • Analyze site survey data (roof dimensions, shading, azimuth, tilt, etc.) and develop optimal system layouts.
  • Prepare system designs including line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and bill of materials (BOM).
  • Estimate energy production, system losses, and performance ratios.
  • Evaluate compliance with local regulations, grid standards, and safety norms.
  • Collaborate with engineers, installers, and project managers throughout project lifecycle.
  • Update designs based on feedback, site changes, or new client requirements.
  • Stay current with the latest solar technologies, design practices, and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solar PV design, installation, or operation.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
