Job Title: Import Executive

Key Responsibilities:- Documentation: Prepare and manage all relevant documents, including export invoices, packing lists, BL drafts, and other related paperwork.
- Insurance: Generate insurance certificates through online portals and ensure sufficient insured amounts are maintained.
- Hazardous Cargo: Understand and handle hazardous cargo, including Haz Class, Packing Groups, and preparing Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGDs).
- Communication: Coordinate with factories, CHAs, forwarding agents, transporters, shipping lines, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Negotiation: Negotiate air or sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHAs.
- Checking and Approving: Check and approve SB checklists, BOE checklists, AWB drafts, and BL drafts, etc.
- Flight/Vessel Booking: Coordinate with freight forwarders for flight/vessel bookings.
- Courier Shipments: Arrange courier shipments through DHL/FedEx.
- Letter of Credit (LC) Shipments: Ensure compliance with LC shipment requirements.
- SCOMET and Narcotics: Regularly review and understand SCOMET and Narcotics requirements for every shipment.
- Customer Queries: Resolve customer queries promptly and efficiently.
- FCL Shipments: Arrange transport for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
- COOs Online: Apply for Preferential & Non-preferential COOs online.
- Multiple Shipments: Handle multiple shipments efficiently at one time.
- Shipment Documents: Send final shipment documents to customers and track cargo until delivery.
- Export Shipment Records: Maintain accurate records for all export shipments, including up-to-date EGM and RODTEP benefit status.
- RODTEP Scrip Generation: Have knowledge of RODTEP Scrip generation and other DGFT/ICEGATE applications.
- Packing Arrangements: Arrange relevant packing considering the nature of shipments, especially for dangerous goods.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
- Records and Reports: Maintain accurate records and reports, including import data and compliance documents.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, such as logistics, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Regulation Updates: Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations and company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
