Job Title: Lead Taxation Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled tax professional to lead our taxation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex US federal and state tax returns, providing guidance and training to team members, and leading tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical expertise in 1040, 1065, 1120, and estate/trust returns, as well as prior experience managing and mentoring teams.

We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively with clients, maintain strong professional relationships, and collaborate with senior leadership on client service strategies and business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review complex US federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1041).
  • Manage and supervise tax staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Lead tax planning strategies for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates.
  • Research complex tax issues and provide solutions to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with IRS and state tax regulations.
Requirements:
  • CPA or EA (mandatory).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of US taxation experience, with strong technical expertise in 1040, 1065, 1120, and estate/trust returns.
  • Prior experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and US tax law.
  • Proficiency with US tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills.
