Job Title: Cost Controller

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our cost management activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of our projects by analyzing and controlling costs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cost Analysis and Control:
    • Analyze project costs and identify areas for improvement to ensure alignment with budgets.
    • Track costs across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with project teams to track progress and update percentage-of-completion calculations.
    • Provide insights and reports on cost performance, profit margins, and project cash flow.
  • Contract and Cost Compliance:
    • Evaluate costs in line with contractual agreements and project-specific financial regulations.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies to minimize waste and cost.
  • Risk Management and Cost Optimization:
    • Identify potential risks related to project costs and recommend strategies for cost reduction.
    • Implement value engineering or efficiency improvements to reduce costs.
  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting:
    • Prepare regular financial and cost reports to analyze project expenses and forecast costs.
    • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing variances and expected cost overruns.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), IFRS 9, IFRS 16, and IAS 16.
  • Understanding of EPC project lifecycle, cost drivers, and risks.
  • Technical proficiency in project management and accounting software (SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical skills in cost analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to present cost information and insights effectively to management.
