Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Trainee

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, analysis, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials, and machine design. You will also possess basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), and MS Office.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. You will also participate in equipment inspection, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting, as well as prepare technical documents, including reports, drawings, SOPs, and data sheets.

To succeed in this position, you should be able to learn quickly, work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, analysis, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Participate in equipment inspection, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare technical documents, including reports, drawings, SOPs, and data sheets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain documentation and update project or maintenance logs regularly.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials, and machine design.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to learn quickly and work independently as part of a team.
