To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Educational Qualification: SSC / HSC or 2 years NCVT (National council vocational training) in Drafting – Mechanical stream from ITI / Diploma in Mechanical
  • Computer skills: AutoCAD, 3D software (Autodesk Inventor, Auto Plant 3D) and knowledge of MS office

You will be responsible for studying basic drawings, pointing out problems/mistakes to concern engineers/checkers and calculating approximate weights based on drawings provided.

In addition, you will perform detail engineering and development work with guidance for structures, piping, mechanical, foundation and refractory items, including preparing Assembly/sub-assembly & detail fabrication/manufacturing drawings along with Bill of Material.

You will also ensure timely completion of drawings with accuracy as agreed with Checker/Engineer and standardize drawings/documents.

  • Key Responsibilities include study of basic drawings and preparation of technical documentation for complex projects.
  • Detailed understanding of geometrical tolerances is essential for ensuring accurate calculations and designing robust systems.
  • Effective collaboration with engineers and checkers is crucial for meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
