About NMIMS

NMIMS is a renowned institution seeking an Academic Professional to join its team. This role involves contributing to the academic mission by engaging in teaching, research, and service.

Salary: ₹1,500,000 - ₹3,000,000 per annum

The successful candidate will be tasked with formulating and executing a comprehensive educational teaching plan aligned with the school's specifications. Responsibilities include conducting classes, offering academic guidance and counseling to students, participating in departmental committees, and enhancing the curriculum through assessment and applied research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching, tutorials, practicals, seminars, and research work will be performed conscientiously and with dedication.
  • Able to abide by the Act, Statute, and Ordinance, Rules & Regulations of the University and respect its ideals, vision, mission, cultural practices, and tradition.
  • Cooperate and assist in carrying out the functions relating to the educational responsibilities of the schools and the university.
  • Assist in preparing Session PPTs, Pre-reads/Reading material, Video Links, Reference articles, Case Studies, Additional curated content, Numerical (if applicable), Blogs, Reference news feed.
  • Participate in administrative, co-curricular, extra-curricular activities and such other activities assigned to them by the Dean/Director/Pro-Vice Chancellor/Vice Chancellor as part of their duty.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' academic standing; promptly provide final grades, attendance, and other information as required by administration.
  • Create educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, Term Papers Question Bank preparation etc.).
  • Evaluate Assignments and supervise PG Projects submitted by the students.
  • Seek to make professional growth continuous through study and research.
  • Maintain active membership of professional organizations and strive to improve education and profession through them.
  • Fulfill their workload as per the stipulated University norms.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of academic programs and courses.
  • Stay updated with advancements in teaching field and incorporate relevant content and teaching methodologies into courses.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design new programs or improve existing ones.

Requirements-Skills & Competencies:

  • Possess a passion for teaching with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust.
  • Demonstrate teaching experience and evidence of effective pedagogical approaches.
  • Show calmness, patience, communicativeness by temperament, and amiability in disposition.
  • Exhibit responsible manner of conduct and demeanor.
  • Display professional attitude and great work ethic.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements-Education & Work Experience:

  • Preferred to have a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) or Pursuing Ph.D. and/or Master's Degree in relevant discipline.
  • Proven work experience of 5-10 years of work experience in teaching/research/significant professional experience as SME with visiting Teaching/Training exposure.
  • Teaching Experience in Distance Education will be added advantage.
