Senior PostgreSQL Database Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL Database Expert to join our team. This individual will be responsible for architecting, optimizing, and securing mission-critical databases for clients around the globe.

  • Lead deployments of PostgreSQL in Kubernetes (k8s) with Operators.
  • Design and automate database infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible.
  • Tune and optimize database performance by profiling slow queries and balancing workloads.
  • Build and operate resilient clusters with Patroni, repmgr, streaming replication, synchronous replication, and DR strategies.
  • Implement encryption at rest and TLS in transit to meet GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years administering PostgreSQL in production at scale.
  • Deep expertise in Linux and shell scripting.
  • Proven track record with Kubernetes and PostgreSQL Operators.
  • Mastery of performance tuning: query plans, WAL tuning, connection pooling.
