Position Overview

Senior Substation Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substation Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance plans for high-voltage electrical substations, ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of these facilities.
  2. Work Execution: Coordinate and execute maintenance work on substation equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and other high-voltage electrical equipment.
  3. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues related to substation equipment and systems, utilizing fault analysis, diagnosis, and repair techniques.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and engineers to ensure that maintenance activities are performed efficiently and effectively.
  6. Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and management, to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  7. Compliance: Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a substation environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical substation equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and other high-voltage electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to substation equipment and systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage a team of technicians and engineers to ensure that maintenance activities are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications: Certified Electrical Engineer (CEW), Certified Maintenance Technician (CMT), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment: High-voltage electrical substations, which can be hazardous due to electrical shock and other safety risks.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights.
