Job Title: Manual QA Specialist for E-commerce Platforms

Experience Level: Mid-Level / Senior

Department: Quality Assurance / Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Manual QA Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in e-commerce platforms and is detail-oriented, proactive, and possesses a strong understanding of end-to-end testing of e-commerce workflows such as product listings, cart functionality, checkout, and payment integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and Analyze System Specifications: Ensure that all system specifications meet quality standards
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Design and Execute Test Cases: Create and execute manual test cases for web and mobile platforms
  • Perform Regression, Functional, Integration, and UI Testing: Identify and document bugs using tools like JIRA or similar
  • Identify and Document Bugs: Track and validate fixes and conduct re-testing as needed
  • Work Closely with Developers and Product Managers: Resolve issues and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience as a Manual QA Tester
  • Proven experience testing e-commerce platforms or applications
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail)
  • Experience working with issue tracking tools like JIRA
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with cross-browser and mobile testing

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools
  • Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus but not required
  • Exposure to platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom-built e-commerce systems
