Cyber Security Training Director

Job Overview:

The Cyber Security Training Director will lead the development and execution of cybersecurity training programs, including curriculum design, instructor training, and student assessment.

This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the success of the training initiative in building a skilled cybersecurity workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development:
    • Design and develop comprehensive cybersecurity training curricula, incorporating industry best practices and emerging trends.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure curricula meet industry standards and address critical skill gaps.
  • Training Delivery & Assessment:
    • Oversee the delivery of cybersecurity training programs, ensuring high-quality instruction and effective learning outcomes.
    • Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess student knowledge and skills, informing future program improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships:
    • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, academia, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and information exchange.
    • Identify opportunities for joint research initiatives, training programs, or other collaborative ventures that benefit the cybersecurity community.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 6-8 years in leadership or management positions.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful cybersecurity training programs, preferably with a focus on workforce development.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems related to cybersecurity training and education.
