Rural Livelihoods Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned rural livelihoods expert to spearhead our rural livelihoods strategy in Punjab.

The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive livelihoods strategy aligned with our vision and the socio-economic realities of Punjab. This will involve identifying and designing sustainable income-generating opportunities for rural communities, including agri-allied enterprises, skill development, women-led micro-enterprises, and green economy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic plan for rural livelihoods, incorporating market linkages, technology, and digital literacy.
  • Lead end-to-end program design and planning, ensuring scalability and community ownership.
  • Prepare program budgets, resources, and monitoring frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Rural Development, Management, Social Work, Agriculture, or related fields.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in livelihoods, rural development, or community enterprise building.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale livelihood initiatives in India, preferably in Punjab/North India.
  • Strong understanding of social enterprises, women's economic empowerment, agriculture, and allied sectors.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi (preferred).
