Industrial Control Systems Engineer

The Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of industrial control systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. PLC and SCADA Expertise: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems is required.
  2. Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID): A strong understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and layout drawings is essential.
  3. Instrumentation and Electrical Integration: Hands-on experience with various instruments such as flow meters, pressure sensors, level transmitters, analysers, actuators, Pressure Reducing Valves (PRV), Flow Control Valves (FCV), and electrical panel integration is necessary.
  4. Site Execution and Coordination: Ability to interpret work plans and execute tasks efficiently according to site requirements is critical. Experience in cable laying with necessary accessories in trenches and trays is also required.
  5. Cable Scheduling and Routing: Proficiency in understanding cable schedules and routing drawings, as well as performing glanding, termination, and loop/Input-Output (IO) testing in the field is necessary.
  6. Data Logger Configuration and Commissioning: Proficiency in configuring and commissioning flow and pressure data loggers and other instrumentation equipment is required.
  7. Safety Protocols and Project Coordination: Implementing and managing safety protocols to ensure zero injury results is crucial. Prioritizing safety in all aspects of the job and implementing corrective actions and maintaining quality standards to avoid rework and ensure project quality is essential.
  8. Communication and Reporting: Communicating project status updates to the reporting officer on a daily, weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis is necessary. Assisting the project management team in preparing required documents, reports, as-built drawings, and other necessary documentation is also required.

Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (E&I/I&C/C&I/EEE/ECE) is required.

Work Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in industrial control systems engineering is preferred.
