Job Title: System Automation Specialist

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design system control panels in line with customer requirements and internal design guidelines.
  • Select the bill of materials for PLC & other components, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Develop purchase specifications for control panels & associated components, collaborating with suppliers to align on technical requirements and delivery plans.
  • Create basic engineering drawings such as Control Panel Layout (dimensional) drawing / Network Architecture drawing & Power Supply Scheme.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings like I/O List, Functional Description, Cause & Effect, Functional Specifications & Logic diagrams according to project P&ID, field wiring diagrams, and Instrument data sheets.
  • Evaluate and ensure control panel-related drawings are created, reviewed, and delivered to customers as per project needs. This includes cable schedules & Interconnecting Wiring diagrams consistent with panel drawings.
  • Prepare control valve & flow element data sheets based on project piping, process, and customer specifications, then support sourcing efforts for technical alignment and PO placement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like sourcing, quality, project management, and other engineering functions locally & globally to ensure smooth project execution and successful project closure.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess risks associated with the project and develop a mitigation plan that prioritizes quality and timely delivery of the panel.
  • Participate in project calls or in-person support for KOM (Kick Off Meeting), Design Reviews & drawings finalization, and HAZOP / SIL ASSESSMENT meeting.
  • Support software validation & FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) with customers at the panel manufacturer.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Controls OR Electronics & Instrumentation OR Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation OR equivalent from an accredited college or institution.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in automation systems.
  • Experience in Control Systems, Operations & Maintenance in industries such as power generation, oil & gas.
