Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead our Developer Productivity / Platform Engineering team. This role combines hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and strategy, with a strong emphasis on building tools, frameworks, and platforms that impact developer velocity.

This position will drive initiatives that improve developer experience, accelerate release cycles, and build scalable internal platforms. You'll design and build internal tools/platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation.

You'll partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with org-wide goals & OKRs. Additionally, you'll champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Developer Productivity / Platform Engineering team, setting the vision and execution roadmap.
  • Design and build internal tools/platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes, AWS, ephemeral environments, service monitoring tools).
  • Partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with org-wide goals & OKRs.
  • Champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Evangelize team's work internally (workshops, training, cross-team adoption) and externally (conferences, blogs, OSS).
  • Mentor engineers, foster innovation, and build a culture of experimentation & learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years in platform/dev productivity roles.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, IaC.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, dynamic test selection, code quality gates.
  • Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or Java (Go preferred for tooling/frameworks).
  • Experience designing ephemeral environments, monitoring/observability tools.
  • Proven track record of leading small teams, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives.
  • Strong communication and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
