Chief Data Engineering Architect

This is a senior leadership position within our data engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and scaling our core data foundation, which supports our enterprise SaaS and AI-driven products.

  • Data Model Development: Design and develop a robust semantic layer using dbt pipelines and PostgreSQL modeling.
  • Schema Governance: Own schema design, documentation, and data contracts across the analytics and application layer.
  • Data Platform Best Practices: Define and enforce data platform best practices, versioning, and governance for all data models.

The ideal candidate will have experience with data engineering, leadership, and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and analytics teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mentor a growing team of engineers and participate in architecture planning and reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship reliable data-backed features.
  • Guide tool selection and platform evolution across the modern data stack.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles.
  • Deep experience designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models.
  • Advanced expertise in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs).
  • Expert in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
  • Strong Python scripting for transformation logic and automation.
