About the Program

You'll join a unique experience designed exclusively for Co-op students. It's an opportunity to sharpen your professional development skills, build connections through structured networking, and be inspired by top executive speakers.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.

  • Strengthen the security of our network, comprising various devices, including network fabrics, Border Leaf, Spine, Access Leafs, CRS PE P routers, and route reflectors.
  • Conduct penetration testing, network programming automation scripting, and telecommunications.
  • Conduct asset inventory using Splunk and other data analytics tools.
  • Develop automation to manage standard processes.
  • Operational playbook creation.
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems, Linux and Windows.
  • Programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, React, NodeJS, NextJS, expert systems software, and software automation.
  • System administration and network management.
  • Database administration and management.
  • Information assurance and intrusion prevention.
Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in a qualifying bachelor's degree program at NJIT and be in good academic standing to be considered.

This Co-op position will be based out of Branchburg, NJ, and follow a hybrid work schedule as set by the manager, including work-from-home and intentional in-person days.

What We're Looking For

Seeking a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment where new challenges come up every day. Must have current enrollment in an NJIT Bachelor's degree program in Cybersecurity, Network Security, Computer Science, Telecommunication, IT, Engineering, Wireless Technologies, High-Frequency Design, Artificial Intelligence, or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2026 and June 2027.

Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship or Co-op experience and familiarity with cybersecurity, penetration testing, network programming automation scripting, and other telecommunication-related fields are preferred.
