Project Delivery Manager

This role involves working as part of a team to support project delivery, under the supervision of a senior or project engineer. Key responsibilities include preparing feasibility study reports, working with the team to assemble design specifications, and agreeing scope of works.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare feasibility study reports to meet brief requirements and review with the Head of Structures.
  • Work with the team to assemble a design specification compliant with employer's requirements.
  • Agree and monitor scope of works with the Local iCRC Head of Structures.
  • Carry out detailed design to WSP and B Regulations standard, ensuring CDM, QA and technical review and sign off by the Head of Structures.
  • Review and monitor the production of calculations, including QA and technical reviews.
  • Ensure accurate completion of information for project costing preparation and provide timely updates to the team.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents and input from team members.
  • Deal with day-to-day queries from the team, ensuring timely availability of relevant information for construction activity.
  • Report variances between constructed works and design intent to the team and Head of Structures.
  • Manage project commissions using applicable project management tools.
  • Lead the design process and encourage cost-effective solutions within the agreed programme.
  • Follow document control, archiving CDM, and QA processes relevant to project work.
  • Raise technical competence within teams, implement delivery and quality measurement processes, and promote technical excellence in all projects.
  • Undertake technical reviews, contribute to concept design, and provide continuous feedback on effectiveness of protocols and processes.
  • Develop positive professional relationships with the team, communicate openly about project progress, and participate in team meetings.
  • Identify and act on potential risk issues, follow commercial and contracting processes, and manage delegated tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Complete timesheets accurately ahead of weekly deadlines and flag additional fees/scopes agreed to the Head of Structures.
