About the Team: The Legal team at Paytm facilitates legal risk and compliance centrally, ensuring business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures. The team serves as a liaison for local regulators and legal bodies, maintaining relationships with them. They ensure local regulatory permissions for Paytm remain current and appropriate for business needs.

About the Role: As a Legal Contracts Specialist, you will be part of the legal Contracts team to ensure effective management of legal and contractual matters, identifying and mitigating legal risks for the organization. You will handle end-to-end legal management of assigned business transactions. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, red-lining, negotiating, and finalizing documents (contracts, letters, proposals, RFPs, etc.) from a legal perspective, ensuring minimal/no risk to the organization. You will also resolve any contractual issues developed while working with clients, partners, service providers, and vendors. Additionally, you will liaise with internal stakeholders (business, finance, and tech teams) to ensure timely closure of agreements and advise them on contractual mandates and compliances. You will have the ability to understand and analyze business requirements/needs, spot issues, and propose/implement solutions. You will adhere to internal frameworks, mandates, and processes. Finally, you will have end-to-end legal management of assigned business transactions.

Superpowers/Skills: To succeed in this role, you will need 5-6 years of experience in end-to-end contract management in a Fintech or Technology space. You will require strong legal acumen, good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and coordinate complex issues with diverse levels of management and employees. You will need attention to detail and the ability to work independently and efficiently. You will also need to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic growth-mode environment. Proficiency with MS Word/MS Office is a must. Experience with a law firm or as an in-house counsel is preferred.

Education: You must be a law graduate, and you should have qualified L.L.B or L.L.M.
