Software Tester Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled software tester to join our team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL queries and TestNG/JUnit frameworks. They will work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Automated Test Scripts: Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java to validate both UI functionality and data integrity across ETL processes.
  • Perform ETL Testing: Validate data extraction, transformation and loading processes by writing and executing SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct UI Testing: Perform functional correctness of web applications by validating that data displayed in UI matches the underlying database (end-to-end).
  • Identify and Analyze Defects: Identify, analyze and report defects, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum Teams: Participate in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives to improve test coverage and adherence to QA standards.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 4-6 years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
  • Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java.
  • Hands-on experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing.
  • Proficiency in SQL queries for data validation.
  • Experience in TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven etc.).
