Senior Design Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Design Lead to join our team. As a key member of our design group, you will be responsible for leading the design and detailed engineering of complex static equipment in compliance with international codes and standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and detailed engineering of static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, separators, storage tanks, etc.) ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Review client specifications, data sheets, and technical documents to guarantee consistency.
  • Develop and validate mechanical design calculations using tools such as PV Elite, Compress, or equivalent.
  • Guide the preparation and review of fabrication drawings, MTOs, inspection and test plans, and vendor documents.
  • Manage a team of design engineers, ensuring timely delivery of engineering outputs.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (process, piping, civil, procurement, QA/QC) to ensure design integration.
  • Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and vendor meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 10–18 years of relevant experience in static equipment design for EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong expertise in design codes: ASME Sec VIII Div.1 & Div.2, TEMA, API 650/620, PD 5500, IS codes
  • Proficiency in design software: PV Elite, Compress, NozzlePro, AutoCAD, SolidWorks (or similar)
  • Hands-on experience in fabrication drawings and vendor coordination
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
  • Understanding of project lifecycle in EPC environment
