Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer is primarily responsible for the Design, verification and validation of Product requirements & Design Specifications of circuits and sub-systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently Develop/Review Arc Flash, Short Circuit & Voltage Drop Calculations, Coordination Studies.
• Develop scope of work for Electrical AE firms and coordinate with suppliers and contractors in close coordination with Customer USA engineering team.
• Plans design tasks so both the design and construction will be achieved within budget constraints and schedule.
• May assume the duties of technical lead and subject matter expert for small to medium capital programs.
• Electrical Design scope includes System Design, Scope Development, Engineering Calculations, Specifications, and Risk Assessments.
• Support ARC Flash studies, SKM modelling
• Maintain Electrical design calculations - Advanced spreadsheet skills are highly desirable (Power BI experience preferred).
• Maintains documentation and asset databases
• Setting database for all Microprocessor and Electromech relays ("As implemented" vs "Engineering issued") for existing and ongoing maintenance.
• AutoCad work for Inhouse projects.
• Protection Coordination studies for all Customer facilities using ASPEN and SKM. Presently coordination studies may or may not exist for Customer facilities.
• SKM model development and maintenance for all facilities.
• Arc Flash studies support for all facilities
• Review of AE drawings in conjunction with Customer USA Electrical Engineering team.
• Creating test procedures and test plans for relay functional testing
• Create design spreadsheets for design calculations, checks and balances

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited Institution.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Develop Specifications and Standards work for design projects.
• Support technical bid evaluations for New Electrical Equipment for various vendors (Local, Low Cost Country vendors etc.)
