About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our product development group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and launching new products that meet the needs of our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. You will have the freedom to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD and FEA software, as well as ideate concepts and develop prototypes.
  2. Manufacturing Support: Plan and execute testing procedures, analyze results, and implement improvements, create detailed BOMs and manufacturing drawings with tolerances, material specs, and assembly methods.
  3. Supplier Management: Identify and onboard reliable suppliers, especially in India and Southeast Asia, drive first article inspections (FAI), pilot builds, and production runs with vendors.
  4. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot quality issues, manufacturing bottlenecks, or delays with urgency and discipline.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in product design.
  2. Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  3. Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to balance perfection with speed, application engineering skills to identify & select various COTS items.
