We are seeking a highly skilled Photovoltaic (PV) designer with extensive experience in residential solar system design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop solar PV systems based on site data and project specifications, ensuring high-quality results within tight timelines.
  • Evaluate designs for compliance with relevant codes, utility standards, and jurisdictional requirements, maintaining the highest levels of accuracy.
  • Incorporate as-built site information, including photos, roof measurements, and shading to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver designs that meet customer expectations and project requirements, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
  • Manage daily workload efficiently to meet aggressive turnaround targets, prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing circumstances.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in residential PV system design, demonstrating expertise and a proven track record.
  • Strong proficiency in a major solar design platform (e.g., Scanifly, Aurora, Helioscope), leveraging software skills to drive project success.
  • Familiarity with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) compliance requirements, ensuring designs meet regulatory standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver results within tight deadlines, managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively engaging with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a high-volume design environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Slack for communications, utilizing collaboration tools to streamline project workflows.
