Lead Software Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced software developer to lead our technology team and drive innovation in product systems, merchandising, and planning. As a senior engineer, you will work closely with our global teams to deliver effective technical solutions that meet the business goals.

  • Main contributor in Agile ceremonies and facilitator of engineering training for a team of engineers
  • Mentorship and guidance in day-to-day process and production concerns escalation point
  • Performing and delegating engineering assignments to ensure production readiness is maintained

You will be part of an Agile production release team and may perform on-call support functions as needed. As a senior engineer, you would be a primary caretaker of production systems and maintain a deep understanding of how delivered products are functioning.

About this role

This position involves working as a leader in your technology space, contributing to all areas of development and operations (pre-production to production). You will be counted on as a leader and guide a team of engineers through their day-to-day process, providing a central escalation point for production concerns.

Key responsibilities
  1. Main contributor in Agile ceremonies
  2. Mentorship and facilitation of engineering training
  3. Delegation of engineering assignments for production readiness
  4. Participation in on-call support rotations

As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for conducting research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization efforts, guiding product development and tools selection, actively monitoring key metrics and reporting on trends, and participating in our Engineering Community of Practice.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Architecture preferred
  • 10+ years of overall experience
  • Exceptional technical skills, keen eye for design, and excellent communication abilities
Technical skills
  • Angular / AngularJS: 6+ years of experience
  • HTML, CSS, cross-browser compatible code: 6+ years of experience
  • AJAX, JavaScript, Bootstrap framework: solid understanding
  • RESTful services: 6+ years of experience
  • Testing frameworks: basic experience
  • Gitlab/Github and CI/CD workflows: hands-on experience

The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, effective time management abilities, and capacity to work in a distributed team environment.
