BIM Structural Draftsman Role

We are seeking a skilled BIM Structural Draftsman to support our structural engineering team in creating accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in structural drafting using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools, along with a solid understanding of construction and detailing standards.

  • Prepare high-quality structural drawings and 3D BIM models based on engineering markups and design requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce precise shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required by the project.
  • Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Familiarize yourself with company and project BIM standards, ensuring compliance with local and international building codes.
  • Conduct clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software to minimize conflicts and errors.
  • Implement quality control measures for drafted output and manage drawing revisions effectively.
  • Attend coordination meetings to provide valuable input on constructability and detailing issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of [3-5] years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least [2] years utilizing BIM/Revit, is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks are necessary skills.
  • A solid grasp of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards is vital.
  • Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills are crucial for success.
