Job Title: Livelihood Program Manager

About Our Organization

We are a leading non-profit organization in education and skilling in India, with a strong presence across 22 states and union territories. Over the past 26 years, we have impacted the lives of young people from underserved communities between the ages of 12 to 25 years. We equip them with essential life and employability skills to help them move out of poverty and lead sustainable lives.

The Livelihood Program

Our program prepares youth (18–25 years) for sustainable careers by imparting transferable life and employability skills. We have set up 133 Livelihood Centres, built 1,130+ college partnerships, and established Entrepreneurship Incubation Centres to nurture aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage resources and staff to ensure the full offer of the Livelihood program is available to youth.
  • Lead a team delivering the Livelihood program at district level and manage their performance.
  • Achieve targets at each stage of intervention including mobilisation, needs assessment, skills training delivery and placement in work or education.
  • Support frontline staff to complete comprehensive needs assessments with youth.
  • Formulate personal development plans for each youth that sets out their training schedule and work or education targets.
  • Provide career counselling and Information, Advice and Guidance that empowers youth to make positive choices.
  • Ensure new starters receive a structured induction program.
  • Oversee community need assessments and mapping exercises of other stakeholders.
  • Support Regional Senior Managers to implement updates to the Livelihood program.
  • Work with employers to ensure adequate placement opportunities exist for youth completing the program.
  • Broker and maintain partnerships with other skills training providers.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and quality of partner interventions.

  • Excellent team worker with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to use own initiative
  • Well-organised working style with excellent time management skills

Pre-Requisites Qualification

Graduation in any stream

Experience (Range)

At least 5 years experience in Skill Development sector, with 2 years at leadership role
