Job Title: BIW Engineering Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of BIW components. As a BIW Engineering Director, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing innovative solutions for Passenger Car Body-In-White (BIW) structure and Assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Master sections and interpret results of Structural, Static & Dynamic, manufacturing simulations for BIW Components
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of DFMA, manufacturing feasibility, tooling feasibility of BIW components
  • Demonstrate knowledge on materials, FMEA, GD&T, and Stack Up analysis
  • Maintain Team center knowledge
  • Optimize costs and develop cost optimization ideas on the components and assembly
  • Participate in design reviews and packaging reviews for solutions and quick actions
  • Aware of prototyping activities and builds
  • Understand program requirements and manage deliverables accordingly
  • Manage project plans and teams
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams
