Highly Available Production Systems Engineer

This is a short-term project for a leading global technology company, requiring an experienced engineer to work on a high-impact migration project.

To achieve this goal, you will be responsible for building and maintaining highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on AWS Cloud. This will involve migrating legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture using Spring Boot.

You will also be responsible for upgrading legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications, ensuring high-quality and secure code. This will require testing, documenting, and quality-proofing your work to ensure that software meets business and operational needs.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes. This will involve troubleshooting issues to identify root causes and appropriate resolutions.

Furthermore, you will support production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities. You will also monitor metrics and identify ways to improve logging, reporting, and alerting.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, excellent knowledge of Java and Spring/Spring Boot, experience working with AWS Cloud infrastructure, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and related frameworks, as well as experience with CI/CD practices, build and deployment technologies, and REST APIs.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java and related frameworks.
  • Experience working with JavaScript and related frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, build, and deployment technologies.
  • Experience working in production with AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
