About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our fundraising efforts, driving growth and securing revenue for our philanthropic endeavors. As Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive annual fundraising plan, establishing key relationships, and cultivating a network of diverse supporters.

You will work closely with our India Leader and thematic teams to build a pipeline of support from various funding sources, including individuals, foundations, corporates, and other donors. This role requires strong interface skills, particularly with our Founder, to advance our vision and goals.

Your primary focus will be on building and growing a team that can keep pace with our program's growth and expansion in India. You will ensure that annual fundraising targets are set and met through a strategic approach, engaging all key stakeholders internally and externally.

This role is ideal for entrepreneurial and result-driven professionals with a proven track record of building and augmenting national networks of diverse donor support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Create a roadmap and strategy for our fundraising efforts, setting clear short-, medium-, and long-term objectives based on our shared vision of desired outcomes
  • Develop a national network of diverse supporters, strengthening existing relationships and adding new champions and donors
  • Build a diverse portfolio approach to fund raising, ensuring effort and target distribution across different kinds of sources
  • Proactively execute multiple aspects of the plan, engaging high net worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and other pertinent entities
  • Work closely with our Foundation Leader(s) to establish an effective fund channelization and utilisation process, along with clear measures to determine net value added in targeted thematic areas
  • Keep initiative teams informed on emergent trends and outlook in terms of long-standing partnership and/or support commitments, ensuring that our operating designs are simple, relevant, and practicable in terms of measurable impact
  • Utilize leading-edge philanthropic pipeline and cause-related marketing management to drive related funding endeavors across different thematic areas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continually identify opportunities for enrichment and augmentation of fundraising opportunities and impact
