Global Compliance Manager Role

The position of a Global Compliance Manager involves ensuring that all Know Your Customer (KYC) activities are conducted efficiently and effectively in line with the bank's standards and regulatory expectations.

This entails providing expert guidance and support to the team, interpreting complex changes in regulatory guidelines, assessing impact, and identifying opportunities for process enhancements.

As a Global Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing necessary escalations to relevant stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for query resolution, and collaborating with regional teams to ensure consistency in processes and procedures.

Additionally, this role requires conducting training and knowledge sharing sessions for team members, developing training materials, and acting as a liaison between the KYC team and other departments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial regulatory requirements, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle crisis situations and take timely decisions.

A Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is required, along with 5-9 years of experience in KYC process & Anti Money Laundering. Sound knowledge of MS office and banking platforms is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on KYC-related matters.
  • Guide the team on complex cases and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Responsible for collating feedback for monthly QA reports.
  • Conduct RCA from the QA & QC reports to identify error trends and knowledge gaps.
  • Oversee necessary escalation to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes.
  • Partner with onshore and offshore teams to drive consistent interpretation and application of KYC requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional KYC teams to ensure consistency in processes and procedures.
  • Conduct training and knowledge sharing sessions for team members.
  • Develop training materials and resources to support ongoing education.
  • Act as a liaison between the KYC team and other departments.
