Senior Accounting Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent financial management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the depreciation register, ensuring accurate tracking of assets and lease schedules.
  • Review and process payroll as required, overseeing bookkeeping tasks and providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Create and maintain detailed workpapers for each client, preparing and finalizing BAS and IAS statements as needed.
  • Prepare management reports and financial statements, analyzing and recommending optimal tax computations for clients.

  • Perform ad hoc duties as required to support client outcomes, maintaining strict compliance with ATO lodgement deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in accounting software and systems, including Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Detailed knowledge of taxation laws and regulations, with experience in preparing and finalizing tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals, and SMSFs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and recommend effective solutions.
