Furniture Production Designer

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed production drawings for furniture items based on initial designs and specifications, including all necessary technical details, dimensions, and assembly instructions.
  • Generate comprehensive cutting lists that outline the materials needed for production, including dimensions and quantities, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials listed are available and suitable for the intended designs.
  • Utilize software tools (e.g., panel optimization software) to create optimized cutting plans that minimize waste and maximize material efficiency, continuously analyzing and improving cutting plans based on production feedback and material availability.

About You

  • We're looking for a highly skilled Furniture Production Designer who is proficient in creating detailed production drawings and cutting lists.
  • You will work closely with designers and engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs from a production standpoint.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working with the production team to convey any changes or requirements for the manufacturing process.
