Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join our finance team at Sri Sri Tattva Panchakarma. As a critical member of our organization, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our credit control processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit management principles and debt collection processes, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

You will be responsible for ensuring the effective collection of outstanding debts while minimizing the risk of bad debts. This will involve developing and implementing credit control policies and procedures, monitoring and managing the company's credit risk, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer credit information and credit limits.

In addition, you will oversee and manage the collection of overdue accounts, including the resolution of disputes and discrepancies, and conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Management:
    • Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and manage the company's credit risk by assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit information and credit limits.
  • Debt Collection:
    • Oversee and manage the collection of overdue accounts, including the resolution of disputes and discrepancies.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure timely payments.
    • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers when necessary.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on aged debt, collection activities, and credit risk exposure to senior management.
    • Analyze customer payment trends and identify potential risks to develop proactive strategies.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to facilitate effective communication and resolution of credit issues.
    • Provide excellent customer service while balancing the need to manage credit risk.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and guide junior credit control staff, providing training and support as needed.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
  • Compliance & Improvement:
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to credit control and debt collection.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve credit control processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in credit control or a related financial role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
