SAP Business Technology Platform Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of a SAP BTP specialist. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of full-time experience in SAP technologies, including SAP ABAP, HANA ABAP, and SAP BTP.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a good understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and related processes. They should also be proficient in visualizing and formulating process flow diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement solutions using SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and available platform services.
  • Connect BTP to S/4HANA using Cloud Connector and develop programming experience in Cloud platforms such as Cloud Foundry.
  • Utilize side-by-side extensibility using BTP (SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Cloud SDK, RAP etc.).
  • Develop microservices using Business Application Studio (BAS) and WebIDE.
  • Maintain expertise in CAPM (using NodeJS) and exposure to CAP annotations.
  • Develop web UI programming using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and SAP UI5 application development methods.
  • Familiarity with In-App extension techniques.
  • Hands-on knowledge in HANA ABAP, including developing CDS Views, ODATA API services, and exposing them as services.
  • Experience in SAP BTP - API management for end-to-end lifecycle from build, mask, publish, and monetize of an API.
Desirable Skills:
  • Extend solutions with additional SAP BTP capabilities for mobile, offline, and integration.
  • Proven skills in building scalable web applications/cloud services using cutting-edge web technologies (REST, OData, jQuery, Server-side JS).
  • Knowledge of SAP systems functionality and SAP Fiori UX principles is a plus.
Development Standards/Development Process:
  • Lead the team to prepare technical design by following project standards and processes.
  • Ensure overall development quality of applications by following specifications.
  • Determine and/or validate development effort estimates.
  • Assist functional teams when necessary in testing efforts and preparing test data.
