**Job Overview**

As a Kafka Architect, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Kafka clusters to handle high-volume data processing workloads.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Kafka cluster administration, including deployment, configuration, and optimization. Additionally, expertise in tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Terraform is highly desirable.

**Responsibilities**

  • Deploy and manage Kafka clusters on-premises or in the cloud, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Automate Kafka cluster deployment and configuration using automation tools like Ansible and Chef.
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues related to Kafka performance, optimizing data processing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Configure MirrorMaker for effective data replication between two data centers, ensuring disaster recovery readiness.
  • Design and implement Provectus Kafka UI for real-time monitoring and management of Kafka clusters on Kubernetes.
  • Integrate Schema Registry and deploy multiple Kafka Connectors to facilitate seamless data flow between systems.
  • Manage ACL permissions, create topics, and implement end-to-end security with SSL/TLS for new users.
  • Optimize Kafka infrastructure design to enhance message processing efficiency and scalability.
  • Conduct thorough performance testing to optimize partitioning, replication, and retention policies.
  • Integrate Kafka with ELK Stack and Solr for scalable data storage and analysis.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Extensive experience in Kafka cluster administration (3+ years)
  • Expertise in tools like Ansible, Chef, Terraform, and Docker
  • Strong understanding of Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, and MirrorMaker
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or Scala
  • Ability to write efficient shell scripts and automate tasks
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • BE, BTech, MCA, or MCS degree from a reputable institution
