Job Responsibilities
  • Build and iterate on learner and teacher dashboards in Next.js (TypeScript, Node.js, App Router, React Server Components) for seamless user experience.
  • Design secure Supabase edge functions, Auth flows, and storage with Row-Level Security protocols.
  • Model and optimize content, progress, and analytics data in MongoDB (indexes, aggregation pipelines).
  • Integrate real-time captioning and sign-language video assets for inclusive learning.
  • Create data pipelines for AI models to drive innovation.
  • Write unit/integration tests (Vitest/Jest, Playwright) and perform peer code reviews for quality assurance.
  • Profile performance, shrink bundle sizes, and ensure cross-browser compatibility for a smooth user experience.
  • Collaborate with Operations to roll out releases to partner Deaf schools, gather feedback, and squash production bugs quickly for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Pursuing/completed a CS-related degree or equivalent self-taught experience (we give more importance to practical experience) with strong problem-solving skills.
  • 6+ months hands-on with React/Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js for effective development.
  • Working knowledge of Supabase (Auth, Postgres, Storage) or strong SQL fundamentals for database management.
  • Basic proficiency in MongoDB CRUD, schema design, and aggregation for efficient data handling.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub flow and modern JS tooling (pnpm or yarn, eslint, prettier) for streamlined development.
